Sofi Tukker teamed up with Amadou & Mariam to release "Mon Cheri", a new original single produced exclusively for Red Hot + Free! Out today, May 28th.

Red Hot + Free! is a compilation of empowering and celebratory new, original songs, bonafide anthems, and exclusive Red Hot reworks and remixes, whose proceeds will benefit initiatives with The Trevor Project (LGBTQ Youth Suicide Prevention Program), The Ally Coalition, and SAGE.

On the record, Sofi Tukker shares, "we were both big fans of Amadou & Mariam before we even met each other. Sophie grew up listening to them, and Tuck discovered their music in college, with a remix of their song "Sabali". When we first met, we bonded over our shared love for their music. We tend to start songs with guitar riffs, so we figured that would be the perfect way to start! Plus, (Amadou & Mariam) often have iconic guitar riffs in their songs. They sent their vocals back to us in Bambara and French and then we worked with the Brazilian poet Chacal to write the Portuguese part. We love how global it feels and the fact that it just FEELS like love, even when you can't understand the lyrics!”
