For the unique stop of The Spring Quartet North American Tour in Canada, the quartet set on fire a packed house at Massey Hall Feb. 27. J.D. Considine reported that the performance set list was questing and abstract, prone to shape-shifting melodies, elastic notions of harmony, and a loose, roiling sense of rhythm.
