Havana World Music announces line up for this new year edition. Organized by Cuban singer Eme Alfonso, the Festival will be held in Havana next February 6th and 7th and will gather international artists: Muchachito Bombo Infierno, Phillipe Cohen Solal and Instituto Mexicano del Sonido. Five locals artists were also invited such as Roberto Fonseca, Isaac Delgado, Tony Ávila, Yusa and bassist Alain Pérez. More information here.
Both artists already shared the stage back in 2012. At that time it was for Roberto’s release YO, album where they perform the song Bibisa together. Fatoumata Diawara and Roberto Fonseca will be together again at the Barbican Centre next May 30th. This time presenting their live project Transatlantic Meeting. Learn more here.

Chano Domínguez, produces Blas Córdoba’s new album titled Bendito. Andalusian pianist, Chano was one of the first musicians to join Jazz and Flamenco. Dominguez is positive that flamenco is in a constant evolition musically speaking. For the album release, pianist had the chance to talk more with EFE Agency.

Exaclty Like You is the song picked in wich Andrea sings and plays trumpet. This song appears in the band’s album Jazzing 4 Vol 1 and count with special guest Dick Oatts. Spanish Jazz Festival 1906 Jazz- sponsored by Estrella Galicia- has announced the headliners of this year edition. Among the list of confirmed artists are Richard Bona, Chano Domínguez & Niño Josele, Dave Douglas and Christian McBride. Last Sunday January 18th Omara Portuondo premiered her latest release Magia Negra in her hometwon Havana. Along with young pianist Roberto Fonseca, and special guests EL MICHA and David Blanco, Omara sang the very best of Cuban classics such as Bésame Mucho, Veinte Años and some songs from the album.
